Project Meridian is a utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) development initiative focused on front-of-the-meter applications.
The project is being advanced within a modular framework, with development work currently centred on project origination, technical concept definition, and the structured evaluation of grid connection and permitting pathways. This includes preliminary assessment of interconnection options, high-level system layout considerations, and alignment with applicable regulatory and planning requirements.
The indicative configuration under consideration allows for scalable deployment and, subject to site-specific constraints and regulatory processes, may encompass systems of up to approximately 100 MWh.
The modular approach is designed to support flexible sizing, phased deployment, and optimisation of the technical configuration in line with grid conditions and project economics.
Development activities are progressing across technical, regulatory, and commercial dimensions, with a focus on establishing a coherent project structure, defining the target operating model, and preparing the basis for subsequent development phases.
